Question How do I remove Avast Antivirus when it fails from control panel?

How do I remove Avast Antivirus when it fails from control panel? I installed Avast Free antivirus to give it try then I relapsed that I not that good, and have to switch to Norton. And finally I gone to control panel to remove it but it failed to remove it - says file not found, unable to uninstall error code 0x00000 something. Please help me how can I remove avast from my computer?

reinstall it then do a full reinstall report result it been misssing some files on the uninstall.

Have you tried its removal tool. If not done yet then try Avast Removal Tool first and let me know if doesn't work. Most probably it will work. If doesn't work then you'll have to uninstall it manually. BTW, you can use Revo or geeks uninstaller for that works great on this type stubborn applications. You also try to uninstall it from the safemode.

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried safemode but did not work. Trying your other suggestions. I'll let you know.
