how do i remove/delete a folder from my flash drive on my windows 8 laptop?

I am trying to burn password reset software onto my flash drive to unlock my pc, to do so I need the space on the usb. I have tried to open the file but can't find it in the system,(I'm not going mad as I know the file is still on the usb) please walk me through the process, warmest regards, Zarah

While inside the folder of the usb click view at the top pane and select show hidden folders and files

You should now see the file and be able to delete it.
