How do i remove the touchscreen from my laptop

hi i have an HP notebook 15 with a touchscreen, the touchscreen isnt part of the lcd and it cracked and i never use the touchscreen so i was wondering if its possible for me to remove the touchscreen from the notebook without having to take the lcd out and no im not asking how to disable the feature.

i know how to take the screen off the shell

its held on with clips

In windows, go to start, Control panel, Device Manager, Open the tab that says "human Interface Devices" Expand it, look for HID COmpliant touch screen, right click, properties, Disable.
