Question How do I remove these connectors without damaging the PCB?

I'm trying to replace the fan on a Sabrent dual bay USB enclosure. I can't get the connector to budge. There seems to be some play if i move it side to side but not up and down. Is there a trick to these kinds of connectors? I didn't see any kind of locking mechanism on the plug

I sometimes have to put a small screwdriver in the side slot (bottom in your picture) of the connector and wedge it out.

The white thing is actually 2 pieces.

There is enough of a lip on the top one to get fingernails or a small screwdriver under it, and lever it up.

You can see a slot in the connector on the bottom PCB, right below the red wire.
There should be a slot like that on both sides, I use those to pry once the latch is loose.
