**This is a very needed medical device for sleeping & need to fix it ASAP! I have a thermoTek medical cooling device- I need to replace both cooling fans. The replacement fans I bought are identical except for the wiring. The old ones each have a single red and black wire that are connected to a 4 pin plug. However, the new fans each have have 2 double wires (gray and white). So, instead on 4 wires for a 4 pin, I have 8 wires. Since the unit is already wired for the 4 pin set up, I don’t want to mess it up and void my warranty. I have no idea what to do- can you please advise me? Thanks so much!

Fans are basic things, apply voltage and it spins.
The extra wires per Fan are for monitor speed and PWM to which you probably don't need.
You just need to see which wires are + and - and that's all you need.
But as asbove, it's a medical device you need, why are you playing about with it? I have confidence in myself to install fans because of my job and background, if you don't know what you're doing then don't do it.
