All tutorials i find are of moving a 500gb or something HDD into a smaller ssd. and it confuses me.

i have a 500gb ssd which i just want to move everyhting over and use that as my main C: drive. whats the process i do and how can i make sure its seen as the C drive ?

any links to a tutorial for this or video or anything really is helpful, thanks.

I dont think any software comes with the corsair ssd i got.

But its the problem after having this drive cloned knowing.what to do and make sure the ssd is c drive and not a later one and how to boot from it.

There is a variety of free (open source) tools. I have utilized TRK (Trinity Resource Disk) to clone over ethernet - if you have a spare computer this would be a option. Another would be Hiren's Boot CD which contains a variety of cloning tools. Finally, this could be accomplished utilizing the DD command with linux/unix.

If it were me; I would do a clean/fresh install.
