I have this AMD motherboard (A68HM Grenade) with an AMD a10 CPU, and i want to upgrade because the CPU is bottlenecking my 380 hard. so i've chosen my parts, an intel core i5 4460 and some 50$ asus motherboard. i know how to switch them out physicly (as in just replace it) but what about software wise? can i boot it up and play games straight away? do i need to download and install windows 10 again? i got windows 10 from the free update trial, and as far as i know, it is linked to my microsoft account.
and i dont know if it is possible, but can i just switch out , log in with my account, and install windows and drivers (gpu/mobo if needed) and play my games? or do i need to disable windows on my pc with the old motherboard, and then throw in the new motherboard?
please explain in detail every step. thanks
