How do i replace my windows xp product key with the correct disk key

Hello,
when installing y xp home onto my laptop i kept getting wrong key code message,so i entered another number,it worked to load.now i go to verify and i get wrong product key,how can i go into my files and delete the wrong key ,and enter the correct key to my windows?

You could try telephoning the Microsoft activation line and explaining to the operator what went wrong but I doubt they'd buy it. You can only replace the Product Key at this stage if you have a Volume Licence Key so your best option is to reinstall and start again, this time using the correct key.[/#000ff]
