How do I reseat the CMOS battery on my laptop?

I have an HP DV6700 that turns on and off repeatedly without showing anything on the screen, after some research I have decided to reseat the CMOS battery, but I don't know how. Can anyone help me with this? I have a picture of the CMOS battery which is in the RAM compartment, accessible from the underside of the laptop: http://imgur.com/BPLRQ77

You stick a screwdriver into the gap at the top right of the holder, and lever the battery out. Then wait a few seconds, and put it back in.

If you hit the BB button, that will show you what I typed to make this work.

Thank you, I reseated it. How long should I let the battery stay out of the laptop for? I tried for about two minutes but it didn't fix my issue.

About 10 seconds should do it. What's the issue? (or start a second thread)

The laptop keeps shutting on and off after I press the power button, and nothing is displayed on the screen. All I can do is press F10 which stops it from shutting off and causes a very slight flashing between two shades of black to occur on the screen indefinitely.
