Question How do I reset my ram on my laptop.

I have a razer blade 15 (rtx 2070 max-q, i7 8750h) and in the past two days all my games except rainbow six and minecraft have been running at 6-10 fps. When I looked in task manager, the games never used more than 2.6 gb of ram. I have checked and these games usually use 6+ gb of ram while running on the graphics preset I use. So im wondering what to do.

no it isn't. Just 2600 mb to the game im playing. along with some other system processes

not just your game. what else is running? look at resource monitor

So when it is running, it says that 5gb are being used under the coomit section and only 2-3 are being used in working set. the game is the only thing taking up that much ram, but other things like dwm.exe and and of course chrome are taking up 200-500 MB each.

The bottom bar graph had a big spike right when I launched the game. Then just some smaller spikes, nothing above 30 I don't think. I also did a trend micro security scan and no threats were detected.
