How do i reset windows vista home basic to standerd defults without any installaion disc

My latop is running really slow and i cant find away to make it run faster and is it possible to use command prompt

Your going to want to find the system restore. If there is a restore point, close to the original install do that one. If this works make a mirror of the OS to a drive, and use that if you ever need to do this again. It will take a large amount of space though.
