[SOLVED] How do I reuse my hard drive for a new pc build?

So, I have a 1 TB hard drive that's in my prebuilt, and I want to use it for my future pc build. How exactly am I supposed to do that? Do I have to wipe the pc, including everything that's in the hard drive? (obviously save the things I need first)

Are you planning on using the 1TB HDD as a primary (OS) drive, or will you be getting an SSD in the new build and using the 1TB HDD as a data/storage drive?

Windows 10 Home. I'm most likely going to use it as my primary drive, and getting an SSD in the future. Now that I think about it, it might be worth it to just get an SSD along with the other parts that I need.
