As said in the title, I am looking to run two displays from my PC, so I can have a game running full screen on one screen, and internet on another, and I had a few questions that I was wondering if you awesome people could answer.

1. Can I run the two displays from my Graphics Card? (Radeon R7 240)

2. If so, do both monitors need to be the same size/resolution? Can I use a HDMI splitter? And should I use HDMI, VGA or DVI?

3. Do I need a 2nd graphics card to run the 2nd monitor? I would buy another R7 240 as this does everything I want it to within my budget.

If there is anything else I should know please tell me!

Thanks for your help!

It is as easy as hooking another cable up to the other monitor. It can be any resolution. I use a Viewsonic 1920x1080p with a Dell 1280x1024 monitor in Windows 7. Once hooked up, just go into your Display Properties and detect or add the 2nd display in the drop down. I use the second display for monitoring my Ventrillo server and having build guides open in a browser, while I lose at LoL.

Ahh awesome, thanks! Is it possible to use a HDMI splitter as my GC only has 1 HDMI port, or should i connect my main via HDMI and second via VGA?

What connections you use dows not matter they all work the same. Just plub one screen into 2 of the three connectors on the back. Then open up CCC and turn on second screen. The monitors can be two diffrent res but I would not reccomend this it just doesnt look as good :) ... You should be fine with just the one r7 240.

Thanks Thent, but I'm not sure I understand your response? I have two 1080p LED TVs I'm going to use as monitors, do you mean to plug on in with HDMI (as I have it at the moment) and plug the other in with VGA?

Ya, Just use your HDMI cable on your main display and use your VGA cable on the 2nd side display. Don't buy an HDMI splitter. Let your graphics card provide the signals to both from it's outputs.

They HDMI cable will provide audio to your main display and you only need video on the 2nd anyway so the VGA is fine for that.

Thank you Sir!
