I'm a bit envious on you guys who have put in all of us into the game
and playing it..

Anyone mind telling me how and what and where 'cause I'm bit of a
editor-newbie....

Sorry if this turns up twice, but some of my posts doesn't seem to go
through.. :/

Basics

The sections at the left side are what you use :)

If you click player, then go to the top menu there's an option to "Create"
player....

and that's what you use to make your players, then goto the "contract"
section of them, to add them to a team (click the red arrow)

if you click the "clubs" tab first. you can CREATE your team :) in the same
way :)

it's actually pretty easy once you start playing around with it.

The editor for FM 2005, is it a saved-game editor or a pre-game editor?
And how do I use it?

When I click on the editor I got 3 options: File, Edit, Editor.
The edit-option is grey. So I can't use it.
How do I proceed now?

Cheers,

Pre-game all the way. Once you are done editing, you have to start a new
game for the changes to take effect.

File -> Load Database -> server_db

Then you're up and running.

Thanks Mikael,

I presume that I can still play the game I'm playing at the moment?

Yes, but any modifications you make won't be in your game.

Some changes might (well where in CM03/04) : renaming of clubs, competitions
and awards affects save games and possibly grounds.

It definitely affects grounds. Every ground i've renamed, then written over
the DB with the original once i've made a saved game has reverted back to
it's original name.
