how do i send a fax with att uverse. i have a fax, scanner, printer and could send faxes until i got attuverse. Any secret i should know about.

It has been awhile since you posted, so I assume that you have corrected the problem.
I was having the same problem. Called ATT and was told to push and hold the RED reset button for 15 seconds. All modem lights will go out (therefore losing all service) for a couple of minutes. This resets the modem to factory settings. When the system came back up my fax machines, both wired and wireless worked fine. Hope this helps someone else.
