I am an employee at a company in the POS department and we use Epson TM-H6000IV receipt printers on our POS machines.
We frequently get slip light errors and I do not know how to fix it, we generally have the store clear out paper jams and such, but there are times that it does not work.
The research I found in the manual and online is to Send Error Recovery Command. OS on POS is windows 7. How do I send Error Recovery Command?? We do not use these device on a network, but thru serial port.
Is there a step by step way to do this on Windows 7 POS machine so I can fix these printers?
Any help is appreciated.

well im no tech in this area, but just from looking at printer manuals i found this:
To use ESC/POS commands, you need to agree to a nondisclosure contract first and obtain the ESC/POS Application Programming Guide. Ask your dealer for details.
https://files.support.epson.com/pdf/pos/bulk/tm-h6000iv_eng_trg_reva_00.pdf

so its pretty much for self made program/interface to use those commands (or to integrate them into some existing program)

not sure what their default driver offers, but it should be able to send esc/pos commands

see this, epson tool for sending commands

not sure what it does/how to use
