How do I set my new SSD as the boot drive but load an image from an external HDD

I got a Razer Blade to try out and I eventually returned it due to various reasons. Before I returned it, I imaged the entire SSD onto an HDD. Yesterday I got a Samsung Evo 500GB SSD for my normal computer due to how fast the laptop was and I wanted that speed on my desktop. I went to go make my boot drive the new SSD. I had a Windows 10 repair USB as well. I had my external HDD plugged in with the image on it. When I started up the computer, it loaded as it should, but when I chose the image and went to use that image as my system files and stuff, it gave me an error message. I need help on figuring out how to fix this error message. Any help is appreciated. I have a feeling it's because it either thinks that the external HDD is the boot drive, or the 4gb repair USB is considered the boot drive. I think I need to figure out how to designate the SSD the boot drive.

Google the error code and see what solutions you can find possibly beyond what are being shown on the "Re-image your computer screen".

Basically you need to boot from the repair USB (set USB drive as the boot drive) and then have the repair drive bring the image back over to the SSD.

Hold down the SHIFT key and do a Restart to get into the necessary menus.
