I just bought a used J3113A Jetdirect card for my LJ2100, and the
previous owner had somehow set the "System Location" that appears on
the Identity page of its internal web server. I'd like to clear it
or set it to something new, but can't find anything on HP's web site
telling how to do so. I've tried telnetting in, but don't see that
as a settable parameter.

Thanks for any hints.

CJT-

On other models you can reset everything to factory defaults by holding
down a button on the printer's control panel when turning on the power. I
think it might be called the "Pause/Resume" button, depending on model.

Once you reset it, you can print a configuration page from the control
panel and see what the default IP address is. By temporarily setting your
computer's IP address to a similar number (differing only in the last
group), you should be able to connect to the internal web server and make
changes.

Or you could use the HP Printer Utility on a Macintosh (Classic Mode).
