How do I set up a 2nd monitor? Do I just plug it in?

I have ASUS Z-97 Deluxe series MB and am using Windows 7 prof.

I just got a new Samsung HD TV 24 with HDMI: ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KSBBGA4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 )

I want to use it as a second monitor. I don't know if there is something I need to do to have two monitors working. I am currently using a smaller Asus HDMI monitor.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah you just plug both into your gpu or motherboard and windows will take the wheel.

It will auto detect and you can setup it up to suit your needs

Do i need to install the ThunderboldtEX II/DUAL card that came with MB to do that? I'm not sure there is more than 1 HDMI port on MB.

Nope that shouldn't be required in your pc for two monitors. Just plug them both in and it should work

But how do I plug them both in? I only have one HDMI port on MB. I have a mini display port but not sure I can plug the HD TV in there. Or can I?

Oh sorry for my late reply, didnt recieve an email. But if you have a gpu can plug both them in. Or use the vga port on your motherboard.
