How do I shut down after a post test? after i see that everything connects and posts properly, do i just shut of the power supply or?

No OS installed yet?
Sure..just turn the PSU off.

Unless your motherboard happens to have a power button on-board, your only option would be to shut the PSU off.

I've never had any problems doing so - the "force shutdown" or power loss issue generally impacts software, so it's more (only?) problematic when you've got an OS installed/running.

Do what you did to turn it on. Short the two power pins on the motherboard with a screwdriver and it should turn right off
