Question How do I switch from Display scaling to GPU scaling (nvidia)

I go to the nvidia control panel and try to change my scaling from display to gpu but it reverts after accepting the changes. (my scaling type is aspect ratio).

I just installed the newest drivers as well, any ideas?

GPU: gtx 1060 6gb (notebook edition)

monitor: dell s2419hgf

my screen is also cracked but the laptop is closed leaving it running on the monitor.

Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop. Use DDU to uninstall your GPU drivers then reinstall said GPU drivers with the latest off Nvidia and install them manually in an elevated command, i.e Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
