How do I switch hard drives?

I'm going to be building a new pc soon and I was wanting to know what would I have to do when switching the hard drive I have now and putting it in the new pc? I know you have to uninstall all the drivers but what else?

You have to reformat the hard drive during the Windows installation.

Is it an OS drive ? If so, back up your data , format the drive and install the OS fresh on ya new PC.....

Personally, tho.....I wouldn't bother. I'd install to a new SSD or new HD or new SSHD and then use the old drive as a 2nd drive or a backup.

Wait till ya done installing the OS on the new drive (connect to lowest number SATA port) before you install the old drive.

Immaterial, same procedure to be followed regardless of OS.

You can delete the OS on the old drive after all is done.
