How do I take advantage of a second coaxial cable for better connectivity

My problem is poor connectivity. At one end of my apartment (it's about 1750sq ft apartment; think rectangular shape) I have my Arris router/modem connected to the coaxial cable. My ISP is Spectrum/Time Warner. At the other end of my apartment is a second coaxial cable coming out of the wall; no device attached at the moment. Time Warner says I can either pay for an extra router (not going to happen) or connect an extender to the coaxial cable. Is there an extender with a coaxial connection port? If not, what do you suggest? The only service I have through Spectrum is Internet. All I'm wanting to do is have the ability to increase Internet connectivity to my network in the weak areas; dual-band wireless is preferred.

Thanks!

Thanks. Do you by chance know if, using the power-line adapter option, there's a way to utilize that to set up a wireless repeater? I ask because, although this idea is a good one, In the poor connectivity area I'm referring to we use smartphones, laptops, etc connecting to the network via wireless connection.

The not-connected cable is not co-located near the router. It comes out of the wall in a room at the opposite end of the apartment. So one side of the apartment has a coaxial cable coming out of the wall that is connected to the router. At the opposite end of the apartment a coaxial cable comes out of the wall not connected to a device. They a part of the same network.

Think of (a pair of) PowerLine adapters as a very long Ethetnet cable - you can plug whatever Ethernet device you want (including an extender).

Excellent! Thanks. I did a little research on this power-line tech. I didn't realize it has been around for a while. This could very well be the solution. I really appreciate all the help.
