How do I take CMOS battery out of my HP 8500 Officejet Pro?

I have heard if you remove the battery from the printer, it will not stop working because of "expired ink". It is the battery that keeps the date and other info. I can't use it as a fax anymore, so I just use it for everyday printing. Warranty is long gone. Anyone know how to do this?

This will remove any warranties I'm sure. I don't own an HP but I found a guide for a different model. Read it very carefully.

The 8500 is a different animal...much more electronics. Its long out of warranty and I just purchased the refurbished cartridge. HP doesn't like you to use refurbished or refilled cartridges. Thanks for the suggestion
