How do I transfer programs from my PC to my laptop?

To expand upon USAFRet's answer, data files can be easily transferred while programs need to be "installed", The reason for this is that programs create registry information along with driver and data access information, that information for the program doesn't simply transfer from one machine to the next, it requires a setup routine done by installation - no easy shortcuts (like drag and drop) for that

Some simple programs can be directly copied from the program file folder in a windows pc. After you copy the file from the pc to the laptop's program file,you can just set a shortcut for the .exe file. Other programs you will have to re-install


note: make sure you use the correct program file as you have Program file(x86) which is for 64bit pcs and a regular Program file for 32bit pcs
