How do i "unfollow" a thread in the forum?

for some reason i can't find where i can elect to unfollow a thread. i'm pretty sure it can be done as i believe i have done it in the past. there are just some old threads i answered a LOOOOOOONNNNGGGGGG time ago that just won't die and i am tired of getting emails about the threads and having it show in my results as a something in need of attention.


some folks just love to keep popping in 6 months later and then someone else comes back and argues with them and so on and it's just getting old.


so what am i missing to be able to unfollow a thread and get away from that madness?

Go to the first post on the first page. You should see an option to Stop Tracking Thread at the bottom of the first post.

thanks i knew it was something simple. i was looking above the first post and not at the bottom of the first post.

It's worth noting that there's a button about emails just to the left of tracking. I'm not certain if untracking will stop the emails.

There's also a setting in your profile about whether it should sign you up for emails by default.

thanks for the heads up there as well also. so far, untracking a thread has also stopped the emails from it. i guess you can also select to stop the emails but keep the updates going for your updates log if that's your desire.

i have stopped tracking a handful of threads and all is going well. no emails and no updates in my thread for them.
