Question How do I uninstall Creative Sound Blaster Z drivers and software?

There was a Windwos update that screwed my Sound. I want to uninstall the creative drivers and software, and reinstall them. Here is a link so you can listen to the problem:

Try with DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html now it has an option to uninstall audio drivers too.

Yeah, I''ve noticed Windows updates have had a recent tendency to muck with sound settings. For example, Windows loves setting 5.1 for some reason.

In any case, DDU should probably do the job.

By the way guys, If I listen with a bluetooth headset, there is no problem.

by the way I am connecting with a TOSLINK cable. They are suppose to be immune to interference or ground loop.

Which makes sense; a Bluetooth headset is its own soundcard, the Soundblaster won't be doing any processing in that case.

You this would rule out the possibility of a driver problem? Is the physical sound card that is causing the problem?

The opposite. Given the fact the problem goes away when using a Bluetooth headset, this indicates the problem is almost certainly Creative's drivers getting messed up due to the update.

Reinstall the Creative drivers and see if that fixes things.
