I have an i7 11700 and the fan is a thermaltake ux100... The fan is new and i just used the thermal paste/grease that was included in the shipment. it isn't sufficient enough to cool it down when I play games or much else.

I cannot find any videos on how to remove it, only install it. The fan also spreads over one of my ram slots.

link to the fan.

Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50 ADD-RGB 4F Mid-Tower, three front case fans and one rear.

PSU: 650W 80 Plus Gold, new

CPU: Intel Core i7-11700F

Motherboard: ASUS Prime B560M-A

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

GPU: GeForce RTX 3060ti

The cooler is pretty, but not an effective cooler.
Changing paste is not going to improve anything.

If you want to change out to a better cooler you first need to remove the old cooler.
Before you do, run the cpu a bit to heat it up.
That softens the paste and makes it easy to remove.
Power off, unplug the psu while working on it.

As to a better cooler, Noctua makes very good units and they are the easiest to install.
Your case allows 160mm for a tower type cooler.
Here is a chart of suitability for a I7-11700F processor:

The very best that would fit would be the NH-D15s(not the D15).
A lower cost unit would be the NH-U12s.
I do not endorse the cheaper NH-U12s redux.
It...

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

How old is the thermaltake fan? What thermal paste did you use and how was the paste applied?

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Case and other fans? Arrangement.

There may be other issues and a new fan may not be needed at all or even make a difference.

Take a couple of photos and post here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

For the most part uninstalling is just doing the install process in reverse.

However the uninstall must still be done very carefully to avoid damaging anything.

Try to find a knowledgeable family member or friend to help as well.

Overall, it is not the uninstall being the problem per se.

The root matter is the care that you must take while doing the uninstall so as to not damage anything. I have read multiple posts where the cooler is pulled and the CPU comes with it. Or screwdrivers slip and gouge the motherboard, etc. etc.,.

End results being bent and broken pins or other damage.

Carefully study how the cooler is attached and connected. Pull and/or remove cards, RAM, connectors, fans, etc. out of the way. Especially if the fit and spacing is tight.

Do not try to workaround them . If it feels awkward or cramped then likely something is wrong. Take your time.

Give yourself room to work. Clean work area, bright lighting, use a magnifying glass. Read/review all relevant documentation.

Plan the uninstall out - step by step.

Force is not the answer so if a problem develops - stop and get/ask for help.

I do not endorse the cheaper NH-U12s redux.
It includes only pre applied paste and a lesser fan.
