I'm using an external soundcard for my audio and I'm getting sick and tired of my audio constantly switching back to Realtek. I disable anything that uses Realtek in the Playback Devices, but they just come back. I've uninstalled the driver itself, but of course it comes back. This thing just won't die.

How do I just get rid of it?

Note: I am using Windows 10.

Thanks.

Hello. You can disable the Realtek audio card by using the Device Manager.

Right click on the Start icon. The click Device Manager. You will then see a list of all your hardware. Under "Sound, Video, and game controllers", you find your Realtek sound card. Right click on it and select DISABLE. This should solve your issue.

Never disable anything else without being sure it is not a critical part of your pc.
