Hi. So I have just made my first build and everything has installed correctly however my GPU does not work. I got told that a BIOS update will solve the problem, however, I do not know how to do this.

My motherboard is a MSI H110M PRO-VD . I have downloades the update but all it has is a .270 file, which I cannot run. I got told that I have to boot off it. I tried putting it onto a USB using Rufus, but it did not work as it is not in an .iso format. Does anyone know how am I supposed to do this ?

Thanks in advance.

https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/H110M-PRO-VD.html#down-bios
downlaod the newest file here.
when you unzip it there a text file and a .270 file
copy the .270 file to a usb stick.
plug the usb stick into the usb slot and reboot into the bios.
click on advance bios tool..look for the utility tab. under it is the mb bios updater.
click on the updater and point the updater to the usb stick .270 file.
it find the file and then update the bios.
after reboot reset the bios to factory default and save it.
go back in and reset any of your ram setting.

Solution
with new intel mb bios look for primany display adaptor if it set to auto the mb can post from onboard video first then the gpu. set it tot peg/pci for 3 party gpu and ipgpu for onboard. under it look for muilt monitor support set it to off.
on the mb make sure the 4/8 pin power connector is plugged in.
