I want to upgrade my graphics card and processor because I want to play games like Overwatch and Apex Legends but I'm not well versed with hardware. I looked on the HP support page and it says that the graphics card is integrated with the processor?

My PC: HP Pavilion 23-q113w TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04798505

These are the specs I'm looking at buying: Intel i5 3570K and AMD Radeon R9 290

This is my first time upgrading my computer so I'm not quite sure its even possible to do it for an All-In-One desktop.
All help is appreciated, thanks.

Solution
Unfortunately, upgrading an All-in-One ranges from nightmare to impossible and the one you have is on the latter-end of the spectrum. You cannot add a GPU, change the power supply, or upgrade to any CPU over 35W. Nor would any type of external GPU be a viable option.

Hi,

so with that machine it doesn't have a discrete GPU slot- that means you would be able to upgrade the CPU however you are stuck with the Intel integrated graphics on the cpu.

Your are going to need to build a new computer to get the graphics card upgrade.

There is one option you could look at thinking about it, you might be able to get an 'e-gpu' (an external graphics bay) to add performance that way.

Yeah, we don't want to kick you when you're disappointed, but I'd definitely recommend avoiding AIOs! They have a bad tendency to combine the upgradeability and price of a laptop with the mobility of a desktop.

As a computer hobbyist, it makes me feel sad to see disposable computers. I'm not nearly as thrifty, but a friend of mine hasn't made a full build in 20 years; he's still slowly upgrading the same basic build from the late 90s, now on what I believe its third-generation of completely different parts from the generation before.
