How do I upgrade to get Intel vPro support?

I currently have a machine that I need IP KVM and Remote Power control but I don't want to spend a fortune on an IP KVM (to still not have the ability to remote power a machine). My budget is 450 CAD (~350 USD).

The motherboard I have is a Gigabyte Z77M-D3H-MVP. It does not appear to support vPro. The CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz.

The sites I use are newegg.ca and canadacomputers.com.

The memory is 4 sticks of KHX1600C9D3/8GX (32GB).

Ultimately IPMI capability would be great but still on a budget. I know some vPro chips have KVM capability using VNC.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Ian.

I guess get a supported cpu ??

according to intel this is a list of supported chips

http://ark.intel.com/search/advanced?VProTechnology=true&MarketSegment=DT

all you need to do is check your boards supported cpu list to see if any of the 1155 ones are supported to be used on the board ??

well it now looks like you have to have a Q77 chipset as well ??

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1155

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4237#ov

seems like its only supported with a supported chip and a ''Q'' chipset ??

sorry

Do I need a vPro supported CPU and Board or just a CPU? I guess that is what I am really confused about.
