How do I upgrade to Windows 10?

I never got the little icon in the bottom right, no popups, nothing. I didn't pirate windows or anything, and always keep it up to date. Please, someone help.

What OS and version do you have?

Windows 8.1, i dont have ultimate or enterprise or anything like that.
I ran the get windows 10 troubleshooter and its apparently not supported by my OS. I don't know the exact version though
