Hi i've seen you can upscale your monitor's resolution within nvidia panel, and i really want to make my 4k monitor 5k (please don't yell at me saying 4k is more than enough because i don't care i just want more).
Is there a way i can do it with my amd gpu system (i have 2xR9 295x2's)
I've been searching since days and ended up with nothing 🙁

Solution
Are you talking about DSR?

The 900 series of nvidia GPUs are able (only through the latest nvidia driver) to render an image at a higher resolution than the monitor, then downscale it for superior AA quality. However, you can't make a monitor display any more pixels than it physically has, that's impossible.

Lol i know,i just want to downsample my 4k monitor to 5k but the software that everbody uses won't accept 5k,it just say failed :/
If you're wondering wich software i'm talking about it's the amd downsampling gui.

I know i'm not that stupid i want to downsample at 5k or higher but no software for amd does that
I know about nvidia but i'm not gonna buy an nvidia card just because i want dsr :/

I'm not sure if this is the answer but I think you can set it in AMD CCC. Go to "My VGA Displays" -> "Properties(VGA Displays". There you can tick that checkbox and change the resolution.

Well if you want DSR the only option you currently have is the GTX 900 series.
