How do I use 2 graphics cards on 1 screen?

Hello, I have been thinking about buying a new computer and I see one with dual nvidia gtx 560 oc's. I am not wanting to use multiple monitors and just want one but was also wondering if this would give me the power to play games like battlefield 3 on 1080p with settings on ultra with a decent refresh rate? I would be very grateful if I could get some insight on this topic.

Hello.
The 560 are ( i assume ) in sli configuration. That means they are working as one, but together. You have almost double the power. It would give you on ultra a very decent fps.

Sorry I wrote the wrong things in there as I am doing this via mobile and is correcting me. I meant to say vram instead of gram and not refresh rates, frames per second.

Vram is a bit tricky, there are a very few games who like extra vram for ultra settings but with most of them you'll be fine. Still, never know what the game developers come up with. Or you have to go to higher resolutions than 1920x1080.

Twin 560 Ti's (at least the 900MHz factory OC'd versions) will give you about 40% more fps (862 fps) than a single 580 (616 fps) ......and that leaves about 12% overclocking headroom to go. Adding a 2nd 580 to the single 580 will have you ahead of the twin 560's by 10% (953 fps).

The reference 560's will give ya about 792 fps but since they are the same price as the factory OC's models, I can't imagine peeps buying them.

I will only be using 1920x1080 on a 24 inch display.

I am only getting the 560 oc'scause they come in a pre made pc for $2000 with i7 2600k, 16 gb ram, 2tb hdd, 2x 120gb ssd and a gaming case.

I live in Australia and I am only new to gaming on computers. I dont have the experience to make a computer but I will learn over time so I can upgrade and save money.

Is I5 just as good or better for the price and I know I wont use 16 gb of ram due to games only be needing 4 gb of ram but thats the only size it comes in. Will cooling be a problem on this model too?

For gaming a i5 is as good as a i7.

Looking at the pic the cooling will be fine, i see a fan in the front and a big one on top, it probably has one on the back also and one for the cpu cooler.

Can't you find a i5 with 6G ram and maybe one 560Ti and buy another and sli them yourself.

Don't think it will be easy if i see the rest of the choices.

It is a pretty good system anyway, i would very much like to have.

And it's actyally not that pricy i think compared to pre built systems here in Holland, i've got meself a much worse deal.

I think this is the model I will get as it will last for quite a while without needing upgrades (maybe new cpu in a few years) and is in my price range. Thank you for your help rob Mitch, I appreciate it greatly!
