Question how do i use my mobo hdmi and my gpu hdmi for vr and dual monitors?

i have
geforce gtx 1060 6gb
amd ryzen 5 2600x
tuf x470 plus mobo

i want to be able to use both so i don't have to keep on switching out a monitor for vr. when i try to use the other hdmi on my mobo nothing happens

You need to get a DisplayPort to HDMI cable/adapter and use the DisplayPort output for your HDMI display. My current set up goes:

VR Headset plugged into the graphics card HDMI output.
Primary Display plugged into the graphics card DisplayPort output using an adapter cable.
Secondary Display plugged into the graphics card DVI-D port

Your current setup (CPU) does not support on-board graphics.
