How do I use the auxillary-in on the sound card?

I have an Asus DG sound card which has an Aux-in slot. Since all the content that is processed on the card is supplied to it by the PCI, I am a little confused how we can use the Aux-in. I mean, which external devices are capable of providing an input to the sound card?

TV Tuners, FM Tuners, and the like can be connected to the AUX In port.
