Hi,

I want to wire up some RCA connectors to run to my amp. Can someone please explain to me where I wire the negatives for each speaker, referring to the picture below?

It looks to me like both left and right speaker's negatives BOTH go on the loop in the middle?

Many thanks,

It is not unusual to have common grounds in RCA jacks when they come in pairs like those. I would not use a common grounded jack unless the amp already is already has common grounded speaker outs.
Only low end equipment uses RCA jacks for speaker outputs. They don't carry current well and you can't use thick wire easily. Use push terminals, 5 way binding posts, Speakon, or banana jacks instead.

Thanks for the advice.

I have a tricky problem which is why I'm researching:

I have both a TV and a projector in my living room. They are positioned perpendicular to one another, which means if I wire up my 5.1 for the TVs position the sound is the wrong way when watching on the projector (ie front left plays from rear left etc).

The simplest solution I could think of was a block of RCA connectors as shown below, where I wire the speakers into the red set for the TV position and then swap them to the white set for the projector position.

That involves splicing RCAs into my cabling on my Tannoy Mercury V1s, which is fine, but if you say it won't work I'll have to think of something else (though this has been something I've googled quite relentlessly over the last year).

Thanks.
