How do insert a table and keep the formatting?

I need to insert a formatted table (copy and paste) into a thread. How can I do this?

More information needed:

What sort of table?

Source software?

How big is the table?

Maybe a screenshot of the table and a subsequent post via imgur (www.imgur.com).

That all said, look at the formatting icons shown in each "post".

Note the three vertical dots. Click that and five more options should appear.

The middle icon (looks like a 2 x 2 table) is "Insert table".

Try that.

Thanks for the reply. More info:
It is an Excel spreadsheet. The insert table does not match the formatting I used on the spreadsheet. There seems to be no option that allows me to insert my Excel output into a post, and manually reentering the data would be too onerous to be worth my time.

Anyway, your help was much appreciated.
