How do it clean the waste ink tank on Epson Stylus CX 8400

you dont clean anything, you replace the waste ink pads and get an epson service agent to reset the waste ink counter. Cleaning/replacing the waste pads will not fix a "waste ink full" type error. It normally needs to be reset with service software, which is not made available to the general public. Just buy a new printer, it will be cheaper. This is not something you should attempt yourself.

You can reset the waste ink counter overflow yourself - no need to go to epson serviceman. Use this small utility to reset the waste ink pad counters - http://EpsonReset.com
After hours of trying to reset my Epson DX8400 I found Waste Ink Counter reset utility - I set my counter back to Zero - The printer is now working again.

if you reset the counter and dont replace the waste ink pads they will eventually overflow and you will have ink everywhere. i just read that website link, it looks dodgy as and they charge you for a reset key anyway.
