How do u connect multiple computers togethers make all of everything work together to make a super computer, I'm trying to make a super computer. I want to be a better gamer but no matter how fast or coordinated my fingers are, frame rate puts a limit on my abilities. All my friends have these gaming computers that are 3k or more. i don't have that money but what i do have is ambition, and 5 windows computers, ranging from 5 to 10. there all really slow and old but im sure if i connect them together to make whats known as a cluster, multiple computers working as one. i've done to much research that all lead to a end whether it is a subscription to get info or a virus. if u guys can give some info im sure i could make a cluster. It would also be something cool to put on my resume.

I suspect because it's one of the funnier things he's read on here and I agree. And having Uber fps won't make up for your lack of skills.if you actually have 10 working computers laying around sell them and take the money to build a rig. For $850 you can play any game in existence at a very good frame rate

I want the experience and understanding of computers too, I don't just want to sell them and go on in life an idiot, it's hard to admit but my dad is a very smart man, in one subject, law, ONE SUBJECT, i've surpassed him in math, the area of computers and ect. I don't want my children or grandchildren to come to me and ask how to make a quad core processor, and me say "do the research Bucko". I want to make him or her the smartest person in their class. I do the hours of research to make a line of brilliant genes, something worth passing down. If you can't understand that i'm sorry, for you, but the question was How to make a cluster/super computer. not what to do with my surplus of resources.

You cannot do what you are asking. You don't just go out and make these things; you're not making a quad-core processor unless you have billions of dollars and an entire company with a team of engineers. This is the equivalent of going onto a medical forum and asking "teach me how to live to 120."

Impossible with what you have.

You need to bite the bullet and just build a new PC with the latest parts.

Wait you researched how to make your Genes perfect on a slow single computer?

You suggested something that literally can't be done, and even if it could nearly all games are still limited by the fastest single core... So having 40 cores on 10 turd CPUs = a turd gaming setup. You could make them all work on separate tasks from.one master computer but their different parts can't possibly work together on a single task with any sort of efficiency real time.

I know you think you sound smart spouting things like that... You don't.

I still want to know how he's planning to create "brilliant genes." I'm pretty sure the world's leading genetic researcher, who is a century beyond everyone else, would probably be able to drop $800 on a budget gaming PC.

I'm mostly convinced we're just being trolled. Some of this is just too ludicrous to be on the level.

As someone once a single digit ranked fps game many years ago I can assure him that the best computer doesn't win as I was rocking barely above a toaster beating pro players on $2500+ rigs (In the 2003 era when that was a crazy expensive setup)

First of all just to clarify i'm not trying to make a quad core processor, im trying to make a cluster,i just somewhere down the line know how tomake something big like that. Listen I don't want to be just your normal tech guy, I want to be a world renowned scientist, who will make a dent in the world, its a lot to ask for, along way to go, but with the rate at which am heading, and a few sponsors i'll make it.

throughout the years, generation after generation, we have been getting smarter. back then in the days they said flying would be impossible but it happened, there is so much has changed in technology, it just takes that one open minded out of the box thinker to put the dots together, i want to be him. I know something like this is possible, i've read so many articles. For example thier was this guy who took a bunch of consoles and made a super computer out of them. so I dont know what your deal is, but it sure is possible, its been done, the idea has been around for awile.

Not possible for your intended purpose of getting higher FPS in games that you play. You can go into a thousand different forums and ask this question a thousand different ways and you'll get the same answer every time. All you'll do is waste time that could have been better spent building on your knowledge base, which appears very limited at this point.

The problem is that you don't know what you don't know. And being able to do that is basically a prerequisite for anyone going into a science.

If you want to become a famous scientist, great! Start with an education. And that doesn't mean going into random forums and asking "tell me how to build a supercomputer."

Learning to Daisy chain some computers together isn't even the beginnings of a start towards your world renowned scientist goal. Tying 9 crap computers to 1 less crap one with the intention of gaming will always result in a worse experience than the 1 by itself. Ryzen suffers from lag going from one side of the cpu die to the other how well you think that'll to between two separate computers. Your knowledge in this area while it may greatly exceed that of a lawyer is extremely lacking in foundation or basic understanding of how a computer functions. Maybe start with the basics, build one from scratch and learn from there. My knowledge greatly exceeds that of my farmer brother too, but that's like him being surprised his knowledge of farming is better than yours

ok, ok ur mixed up, that's not what i meant at all, i just want to teach my kids, then them teach theirs and so fourth. To be honest with u i dont know how u got to ur conclusion it was pretty clear that i wanted to just know the shit, make a dent and effect my generations soon to come.

if i wanted to sound smart why would i be talking to all you people who say it isn't possible. that's a dumbass thing to say. why would you take time out of your day to try to stop some kids development. so tell me what do you know, are you just the average Joe, are you a specialist, who are you to say it isn't possible. I'm just a 14 year old boy, i'm not just trying to piss people off on this site, not trying to debate, i'm just trying to find the answer to my [REDACTED] question. i'll do it either way, with or without this site. It sure is possible, these facts are just a bunch of bullshit, IT IS POSSIBLE, dont respond unless you know what your talking about plz.

It's absolutely unequivocally not possible to put two.computers together to make a better gaming computer. There is literally no way as the data can at most travel at the speed of light .. which takes time... Which makes performance much much worse...

Cursing doesn't help prove your point. It proves you're a kid in over your head who thinks he's on to something brilliant, but you can't fight physics... Which is literally what you're trying to do

If you can't control your temper and refrain from using expletives, you'll be finding your non-answers to your questions that make little sense on another forum, permanently.

I believe this thread has run its course.
