I am at loss. I need to climb a stepladder in half-life 2 but I don´t know
which button to push.

Yup, just walk straight into the ladder, look up and keep going
"forward". Go "backwards" to go down.

You can also jump on and off ladders.

ALthough... the OP said "stepladder". My comment above refers to a
perfectly vertical ladder. If he meant an "A" shaped stepladder, then
the best thing is to try jumping up the steps. It won't work like a
perpendicular ladder.

Maybe he's trying to get on the slide at the playground :)

I noticed that the swings don't have any obvious friction. You can push into
them to start them swinging, but I've never seen them slow down and stop.

BTW: has anyone ever listened carefully as you approach the tic-tac-toe
thingy? You'll hear very faint echos of children playing... very effective.

Then there is the roundabout in Dog's yard - it works and can be spun using
the grav gun.

Anyone tried spinning the "blade" traps in Ravenholm using the grav gun?
Quite effective and esier than using the lever
