[SOLVED] How do you delete the programs from itunes from apple

Hello, i have an mac book from apple and i cannot seem to be able to get my itouch to be recognized on itunes. I looked it up and they stated to delete the itunes installment and then to reinstall it but i don't know how to delete what i installed.
