I've been having problems with my motherboard lately and a friend of mine recommend that I replace the battery. I looked around and it seems that there are multiple types of batteries for motherboards. How do I find out which one is mine?

ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 8 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard with 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX Support and UEFI BIOS

Thanks all for that. I'm not sure if it is the problem as it sometimes won't start up. Power is going through, recently RMA'd the PSU, but it won't start up. I'm thinking it is a short if not the battery.

make sure the mb has the newest bios file on it. with newer mb they had issues with some nvidia cards causing asus anti surge to trip and cause no posts. one think to look out for is to many devices plugged into usb ports. they can cause mb not to post. with your mb and the new power supply use a volt meter check the power good pin. on the 24 pin cable make sure it within atx spec if not a mb wont turn on.
