How do you find the max temperatures for motherboards?

I have a M5A78L-M and the highest i've seen it get to is about 67c. I always try to turn game settings lower to see if I can reduce the temperature but after playing for about and hour its always at about 62-66c.

I can't find anywhere what a normal load temperature for this motherboard is, so I don't really know if it's a dangerous temperature to play at.

Just in case it matters my CPU is a Fx-4300, the temperatures on that are normal though, it stays below 55.

Edit: On Idle it stays at 42c

No, i do not know the acceptable temp for your particular board. But 66c is par on any board generically. Perhaps a tad on the higher side, but it should be okay. If it crosses 70c then u need to be seriously concerned.

Some stuff that i found about your board...

The high temp reading from ITE IT8728F is the CPU Socket Temp. This is a sensor under the CPU socket and is generally 10-15 degrees higher than the CPU Core Temp.

This is to be expected and is fine, all that matters is the the CPU Core Temp - the internal die temp - is 60 degrees or less in general use for safety. According to AMD this gives a generous safety net.

The board has a poor thermal design , the stock coolers aren't sufficient sometimes. If you are still...
