how do you fix ethernet controller unknown device

how do I fix my internet I went onto device manager and then saw that the Ethernet controller was in the unknown device

You need to install the manufacturer's network/LAN driver.

If it's a laptop or factory-built PC, go to that manufacturer's website and download the driver from there.
If it's a custom-built/homebuilt PC, go to the motherboard manufacturer's website.
