Hi,
I have Windows 7 (Pro version) running on a Toshiba S70 laptop with an Intel graphics card. It had been running fine for 3 years. After Windows 7 upgraded to its various recommended patches, it is now stuck in vgasave mode where
- It does not allow the laptop to hibernate or sleep
- It does out recognize the external monitor that is connected to HDMI.
I booted into Windows into safe node and tried different things such as
- uninstalled the graphic driver and not install any driver
- re-installed the graphic driver version from Toshiba for its S70 laptop.
- checking for hidden graphic devices but there was none.
And none of them fixed this issue. I then used Windows System Restore but even that failed. How do you get out of vgasave mode and get Windows working again with the graphic driver ?
Thanks.
