MSI Z170A PC Mate -- 3x PCIe 3.0 x16, 4x USB 3.1, 2x USB 3.0, 1x M.2, DDR4 Memory Thats it can you tell me if it does please.

Solution
It has on board sound. Most motherboards do these days
Onboard Audio
Audio Chipset
Realtek ALC887
Audio Channels
7.1 Channels

This will support headset/mic/headphones/2.1 Speakers. However since there are only 3 audio ports I don't think this will support a 5.1/7.1 speaker setup. If it has seperate sub/side/main speaker cords.

Solution
If the motherboard has 3.5mm input/output audio jacks, then it has on-board audio.

You'll even find that graphics cards will have the ability to be used as your sound card, given that the sound will be enabled through a cable which supports audio/video passthrough, to the device it is plugged into.

To your question however, you can tell through the rear 3.5mm jacks located in the I/O panel. So yes, your motherboard has an integrated sound card.
