Does anyone know what BIOS settings I should use for 2400Mhz memory? There are many other settings there also (e.g. voltage) - I don't want to end up frying my processor! (I don't really want to overclock this)

I've found lots of guesses, but how do people know what to use? Is there a tutorial or something? The RAM came with no manual and their website doesn't provide much information.

Memory: 8Gb (2x4Gb) Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-D3H
Processor: Intel i7 4770K

For the most part the motherboard should configure itself when you plug the ram in. Avoid tweaking voltage settings unless you know what you are doing. If the ram is not detected at the proper settings, just set the timings etc...

For info on how the motherboard detects ram capabilities, check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_presence_detect
