How do you limit the amount of data sent to a printer

Hello,
Is there a way to limit the amount of data sent to a network printer? We have users trying to print a 2 GB documents and it causes issue on the print server

its depends upon the processing speed of the PRINTER, little bit computer processing speed too. Printers behave differently like locally connected by USB port , Parallel port and wireless connected too. It also means if the network is using Gigabit supported devices like gigabit support LAN cards, UTP 6 Cables and printer devices too.

You would need to setup a print server and configure the printer share for the users to limit them. The printer itself has very limited user configuration.
